Having a few technical issues with the reflections at the moment - the surface of the canvas is resisting the paint causing dark blobs of colour in the wrong places :( This is due I think, to over-enthusiastic use of linseed oil on the previous layer! I have read suggestions such as rubbing the surface with a potato, an onion or even a cut garlic clove (yikes!) to resolve this, but think I will try a more conventional method and mix in some of the Damar Varnish my son bought me for Mother's Day! In any event, I need to sort it out before carrying on with the foliage...
